💅 How to Measure Your Nail Size (Step-by-Step)
There are two accurate ways to measure your nail width for custom press-on nails —
Method 1: Measuring Tape and Method 2: Straight Measurement with Paper.
🧵 Method 1: Measuring Tape Method
What you need:
- A soft measuring tape (with millimeter scale)
Steps:
- Place the measuring tape horizontally across the widest part of your natural nail
- Make sure the tape is flat against the nail surface — not lifted or bent at an angle.
- Align the zero point (0 mm) on one side of your nail edge.
- Read the measurement (in millimeters) where the other side of your nail ends.
- Record the number for each finger.
Example:
- Thumb: 16 mm
- Index: 12 mm
- Middle: 13 mm
- Ring: 12 mm
- Little: 10 mm
👉 Based on the size chart, this would be Size M.
📄 Method 2: Straight Measurement (Paper & Ruler Method)
What you need:
- A strip of soft paper (about 1 cm wide)
- A pen
- A ruler (with millimeter markings)
Steps:
- Wrap the strip of paper around the widest part of your nail.
- Mark the two edges of your nail on the paper using a pen.
- Lay the paper flat on a table.
- Use a ruler to measure the distance between the two marks (in millimeters).
- Write down your measurements for all ten nails.
Example:
After measuring with paper:
- Thumb: 15 mm
- Index: 11 mm
- Middle: 12 mm
- Ring: 11 mm
- Little: 9 mm
👉 Corresponds to Size S according to the chart.
